A website dedicated to making it easier to recycle more!
This website aims to show you that you can recycle more than you think and give you all the information you need to recycle more.
Why recycle more?
Londoners produce 3.4 million tonnes of rubbish a year, which is enough to fill Canary Wharf tower every 10 days. Londoners currently recycle 25% of their rubbish, yet research has found that around two thirds of the average household bin could be recycled. Despite this, the problem is getting worse as we buy more packaged and disposable goods.
Composting is nature's own way of recycling. Insects, bugs and other soil organisms break down organic material, such as plant waste from your garden or vegetable food waste from your kitchen, to produce rich fertiliser that's great for plants.
The Mayor is supporting a campaign by Recycle for London and thelondonpaper which will give away 10,000 free cotton reusable bags on Oxford and Regent Street.
Enter your full postcode (e.g. SE1 2AA with a space between the first and second part of your postcode) to find how easy it is to recycle more locally.
